Artist's Comments
Commission's artwork : Illumination in gothic international style , making for a present to a birthday. The idea of the composition was that the husband was submariner in french navy and I had to incorporate this fact on the project but the problem was I couldn't create any anachronism , so I remember the illumination of the story of Alexander the Great , which explored the deep of the Red Sea , enclosed on a big glass barrel : [link] . This representation was the ancestor of a submarine !
 The text on gothic cursive was a poem composed by the wife with the letters of the name Daniel and was calligraphied by  |
